Did this ever occur to you: why do some people don’t care or give a damn about anything?
No, I’m not talking about those people who give less attention to other people’s matters; I’m talking about those who give nothing at all.
I’m talking about the people for whom you have done a lot, yet they don’t care. For them, it’s nothing.
For them, you have done nothing that would make them care about you.
Has someone ever made you feel that way?
The world is so big; I think at one point or another, you must have felt it.
Those types of people aren’t hard to find.
My paternal relatives are somewhat like that—can you imagine? I hope not, but yes, they are like that. No matter what you do for them, it won’t win their hearts.
Sometimes, I wonder, they might be living without one—the heart, or what? 😅
So, why do they behave like that?
Some would say they don’t have values. I agree, but it’s not just the values because my relatives don’t want to kill themselves.
But the people I actually want to talk about are ready to give up.
They are ready to commit suicide.
Those are the kind of people I am talking about who don’t give a damn about what you do for them.

When people lose touch with themselves
Let’s forget about those people.
For instance, let’s talk about you.
If I asked, “What kind of person are you?” what would be your answer?
Let me guess, you would say:
- You’re a kind person.
- You’re optimistic.
- You love cooking.
- You’re smart.
You’re this, and you’re that, and the list goes on.
Now, if you meet a beggar, that kind person in you will be in charge. When someone does you a favour, your grateful side responds.
Likewise, whatever happens in your life, the person inside you will decide how you act.
But what if you don’t know what kind of person you are? What will happen then?
Let me tell you what will happen then: nothing.
No situation, no people, will make any sense to you because, for something to have an effect on you, it needs to be aligned with your inner self.
When there’s no inner self, the outer ones have no value.
People who commit suicide don’t do it because they have lost the fight with the world but because they lost themselves.
They think that nothing is left for them in this world.
In life, at one point or another, most people think of dying. For instance, I have thought multiple times about dying, but I am bound by my responsibilities, dreams and, above all, hope—that something will work out.
These aspects form my inner self.
When Hitler shot himself, he didn’t do it because he was afraid of the Allied army; instead, he did it because he lost his inner self.
He lost his purpose of winning the war.
When people lose touch with themselves, nothing matters to them.
And that’s why they don’t care about anything.
Where do we go from here?
When there’s nothing inside us, we stand before the darkness, and the darkness has no life.
If there’s no life inside you, then the living world revolving around you makes no sense, and the darkness will slowly consume you without you knowing.
However, it doesn’t mean that someone who has lost touch with themselves cannot return – they absolutely can.
It can only be possible through exploring the world, exploring different people, and solving problems. Yes, rehab does a good job of improving people’s way of thinking, but a cage cannot make a bird free.
Thus, exploring is a must.
Your inner touch is lost, not dead: this means it can always be found, but one shouldn’t delay the search for it.
