Good times can overwhelm you with exhilaration. So, on the other hand, bad times can make you sick. It’s easy to go through a time when everything is in your favour, but it’s much much harder to sustain life in a bad situation. During tough times it feels like our life is falling apart, nothing is in our control. Well, actually, we never have control over anything. And not only the life but everything around us seems like falling apart. There’s no hope left, and it’s better to hide in despair. But a man or woman going through struggle should never forget that light glow much better and more than ever in the darkness.
They’re maybe in the worst time of their life, but it’s not the end. Yes, it’s their reality for the present, but if they would stop looking for their answers, then it will be the present of their future.
The only thing that makes a hard time hard is that we spend more time focusing on its unfortunate consequences. How terrible things would go, and we will not be able to do anything. But if we see a hard time as a problem, then we would understand that every problem has its own unique solution, which we need to find. Or maybe we don’t have to. Just like sitting in an examination. Where in the test paper, we get some problems that are meant to waste our time, and it’s better to leave them as they are, and involve ourselves in a better problem that would give us more opportunity to get high marks. It’s all about how we deliver our reaction to the situation.
One thing people keep saying and perhaps you do have listened to it, i.e., let go of your past and forget everything. But it’s only for the time when a person had something wrong or worst happened to him. However, nobody would tell you to overcome your past that had something great. When your good memories are the reason that gives you false hope for the present. Whereas your bad past memory is the reason to help you do something different than the last time.
We agree that you should let go of your past, for better and worse. However, never forget it because if you do, then you’ll never learn. Because by forgetting your past, you’ll also forget why things didn’t work out. Moreover, for good times in the past, you’d forget that why there were good times in the first place. And, when you don’t know the reason, then there is no vision.
